A Portal to a Sacred Mountain: Mt. Ichifusa is a legendary sacred mountain, but climbing to its mid-slope shrine is extremely tough. Satomiya was rebuilt in 1934 as a remote worship hall so people could easily pray to the mountain deity from the town. It is a place where everyone can touch the ancient spirit of the mountain.
The “Love Loop” Ritual: It is one of the most famous “power spots” for love! Couples have a charming ritual here: they visit together, walk around the main hall from opposite sides, and if they meet perfectly at the back, their bond is said to be strengthened forever. It is a lovely “activity” to experience!

Where Naval History Meets Anime: This is a huge surprise for many! The deity of this shrine was also enshrined on the Imperial Japanese Navy light cruiser Kuma. Because of this historical connection, the grounds feature a dedicated memorial museum. Today, it has become a popular “holy site” pilgrimage for fans of naval history and the hit anime game Kantai Collection (KanColle)!

World-Class Art with a Healing Mission: The two majestic dragons and other animals were carved by a world-champion chainsaw artist. They were carved directly from the shrine’s ancient cedar trees with the mission of “revitalizing the local region.” Their lifelike presence is thought to bring energy and healing to visitors.
